Paul Bower began singing as a member of the Cincinnati Boychoir in 1984. He pursued his singing career in college at Northern Kentucky University, where he graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Music in Voice and a Bachelor of Music Education in 1997. While in Cincinnati, Paul had the privilege of performing with Cincinnati Music Theater, Northern Kentucky Symphony, Carnegie Opera Theater, and the Sorg/Whitewater Opera companies. Paul moved to New Mexico in 1997 to attend the University of New Mexico, where he studied with Marilyn Tyler and earned his Master of Music in Voice in 1999. Since then he has sung professionally with many organizations in New Mexico and around the country including Opera Southwest, Santa Fe Desert Chorale, Santa Fe Symphony, Albuquerque Chamber Orchestra, The New Mexico Symphony Orchestra, and the opera companies of Santa Fe, San Diego, Pittsburgh, Des Moines, Amarillo, and El Paso. His roles include Marcello, Schaunard, Eugene Onegin, Marullo, Pistola, Mercutio, Figaro (Barber), Dancairo, Baron Douphol, Yamadori, Angelotti, Pish-Tush, Guglielmo, Dr. Falke, and Silvio.

Paul has had the privilege of singing with the Kentucky Institute for International Studies in Salzburg, Austria in 1994, the East-West International Music Festival in Altenburg Germany in 1998, and as a participant in the International Singing Competition of Cologne, Germany in 2002. He has also received two encouragement awards from the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions.
